Sales by auction, tender, private sales and expression of interest
In a private sale, the property is listed at a fixed price or with a price range.
Properties are sold at a public auction, with a set date and time. Buyers compete by placing bids openly in front of others. The highest bidder wins, but the final price may exceed the reserve price set by the seller.
Expressions of Interest (EOI):
An Expression of Interest (EOI) campaign invites potential buyers to submit their best written offer for a property by a specified deadline. The offer must include purchase terms, such as the buyer's details, price, deposit, and proposed settlement date. All offers must be submitted to the selling agent in the required format by the campaign's closing date and time.
The seller reviews the offers privately and may choose to accept the best offer or negotiate with the leading buyer. Other buyers are not informed of the offers.
Sale by Tender:
Interested buyers submit sealed offers by aspecified deadline.
